2016 Tour de France – Stage 9
Vielha Val d’Aran – Andorre Arcalis---184.5 km
Sunday’s stage of the Tour de France was a contrast of two extremes: Extreme heat and plenty of sunshine, followed by driving rain, hail and cold temperatures. Brent did his best to provide assistance in the first part of the stage before riding to the finish with the peloton on the last third of the 184.5-kilometer race.
At the first rest day of this year’s race, Brent sits in 176th place, 1:53:54 back of race leader Chris Froome (Team Sky). BMC Racing Team co-leader Tejay van Garderen is the team’s best-placed rider in 11th, 61 seconds off the lead.
